FASA 6 Hour Renewal Course with false alarm reduction, ECLB approved training course. This course is for those technicians already having completed their 14-hour entry-level FASA course. At the end of that course a certificate and badge were issued with an expiration date. This date of expiration is two years after the issue date. Since 1998 Florida Law requires you to take a 6-hour refresher course to renew your fire certificate within this two-year window to stay legal. (FASAce 0800669) Technicians must provide proof of completion of the initial Certification and timely renewals before a Certificate or Florida ID Badge can be issued. Per the Florida ECLB, if a Technician does not complete the renewal within the 2 year time frame, the Technician must instead take the Initial FASA Certification again. Access the Initial FASA Certification here or via our Certification Page.
