What are the initial requirements for a licensed Electronic Security Technicians?
An applicant must submit an application to the Department which notes:
– the applicant is at least 18 years of age
– proof of successful completion of all initial training requirements
– 4 hours of Electronic Security Core Subjects
– 10 hours of Electronic Security Technician Subjects
– Initial Registration Application
– Fingerprint card

The State Fire Marshal’s Office does not issue permits for the installation of fire protection systems. The Building Official in the respective locality should be contacted to determine plan review and permitting requirements. You will find a directory of building officials here.
