Applications of Electrical Theory for Alarm Professionals

Applications of Electrical Theory for Alarm Professionals teaches the alarm professional useful information about applying mathematical concepts in order to solve and prevent problems from occurring when installing and servicing intrusion alarm systems. This class will demonstrate causes and solutions to voltage drop problems. Participants will be given a clear understanding of electronic components commonly found in burglar alarm systems. This course will explain rectifying alternating current into direct current and then filtering the rectified current. The student will also understand and be given the opportunity to apply ratios and proportions to problem solving. Many who take this course will appreciate the ease of calculating Ohm’s law and Watt’s law with the Ohm’s law calculation tool.
