This one-hour course teaches about the different types of smoke detectors and initiating devices that are available, and which would be most appropriate depending on circumstances, and details their utility as initiating devices in a full fire alarm system. It will help establish the general needs and requirements of the client, and the necessary knowledge needed to determine which type of initiating device would be most effective. As a result, the student will be able to determine how best to protect an area utilizing smoke detectors
