Designing a Functional and Reliable Intrusion Alarm System

Proper installation is the key to a functional and reliable intrusion alarm system. This course is designed for all technicians and salespeople in the intruder detection and security profession. The topics in this course will cover most of the current intrusion detection devices. Their history, theory of operation, correct placement and wiring will be covered in detail. Improper sensor placement is a common cause of false alarms. Improper wiring and power also increase the likely-hood of false alarms. Without proper training and simple techniques to assure proper placement, testing and correction of problems sensors cannot be relied upon to give reliable service.
