Door Hardware Troubleshooting is a one-hour course designed to help you identify common problems associated with door hardware. An introduction to a troubleshooting sequence will guide you in determining if the problem is associated with the door, frame, or a specific hardware component and offer a correcting solution. Proven techniques to correct common problems will be expanded through helpful hints that you will be able to apply to everyday door and hardware preventive maintenance practices.

Product Description / Course Objectives

Learners who complete this course will:

  • Be guided through a proven troubleshooting sequence to determine a solution to correcting most problems.
  • Be able to identify the important components of door hardware that affect proper operation and will gain the necessary skills to determine if the door or frame is contributing to the improper operation of the entire door opening.
  • Be instilled with an awareness of proper servicing and troubleshooting procedures for door hardware within a fire-related assembly.
