Troubleshooting Your System / Basic Alarm Troubleshooting provides practical information for alarm system service support and step-by-step guidelines for diagnosing and fixing issues that may arise in a system. The module begins by stating common mistakes made by managers, sales people, installers, and service technicians. Next, the necessary components of a well-executed service call are detailed for the service technician, including pre-call preparation, necessary equipment, digital tools for retrieving information, customer relations, and analyzing the problem. The course then focuses on technical circuit information and underlying mathematical concepts that are necessary for the technician to thoroughly understand in order to successfully fix problems within alarm systems.
