Output Devices

Output Devices provides the learner with a clear understanding of how to mate the sensed conditions to the various types of alarm outputs. In turn the learner will get an insight of the variety of alarm output devices and how these interact with the control panel, the end user and the occupants. This course provides an overview of how the devices compensate for human physical limitations in regards to response to the various alerts provided by the outputs and alarm components. The learner will also be given illustrated examples of connecting these output devices to the control panel and the desired benefits local alarm reporting.

Learners who complete this course will:

  • Understand the various conditions warranting a response by people in the immediate area
  • Discover different methods of being made aware of a situation, demanding an immediate sense of urgency
  • Learn about the variety of control panel outputs that can interact with notification devices
